Some of the top ski tour companies from around the globe are no longer only focusing on skiing and snowboarding packages in the Northern Hemisphere. They are now looking south, deep south into the Andes of South America, particularly Chile and Argentina.
With dozens of well known and smaller, boutique ski areas offering powder skiing from July to September, along with an extended season for backcountry ski exploring in Patagonia and the Chilean Volcanoes, ski tour operators are pushing ski packages and guided ski tours to their client data base and each year more and more skiers and snowboarders from around the globe are packing their ski gear to escape the heat, skip the traditional beach family vacation to explore the exotic Andes of Chile and Argentina.
Known for safe ski towns, friendly locals, and amazing snow conditions, the top resorts of South America are banking on continued growth fueled by sales from a growing number of ski tour companies selling ski trips during the northern summer.
